• Use the study protocol as starting point when defining user requirements
• Ensure the vendor is aware of regulatory requirements and quality standards regarding eCOA, and their services reflect that
• Align on deliverables and expectations with the vendor in the contract negotiation and implementation planning phases
• Ask the vendor to provide a sandbox environment in the development phase, for users to test and give feedback
• Maintain a robust stakeholder management and communication process – keeping everyone on the same page at every step can prevent a lot of issues
